HUMAN BODY CANVA PRESENTATION I included this resource to demonstrate how a
standards-aligned science unit (LS.5.1.1 & LS.5.1.2) can be
transformed into a flexible, interdisciplinary study. The
integration of diverse body systems provides a platform
for student choice and differentiation, where learners can
dive deeper into specific systems based on their readiness
levels. It encourages AIG students to move beyond rote
memorization toward a synthesized understanding of how
biological systems support life and influence human
experience.

Note to Admin, Teachers, and Parents: This is a slideshow that I created in my GIFT 6300 class at ECU with Doc Novak. My goal for the assignment was to show that interdisciplinary units of study, differentiation, student choice, and fun can all align in the classroom. This is really important to my community of gifted learners and me because it shows how essential creativity, choice, and differentiation are in the classroom, but especially with gifted learners. Note to students: Welcome! This space was created to help you dive deeper into how the world works - from the biological systems of the human body to the strategic cleverness of ancient heroes. Originally designed for a graduate project, this site now serves as an enrichment choice board. Whether you are exploring as part of an interdisciplinary unit or seeking an advanced learning challenge, these activities are designed to spark critical thinking, lateral thinking, and creative problem-solving.
