- My name is Marissa Graham. I am currently an AIG 3-5 Teacher/Consultant for Cumberland County Schools. I grew up in the Hudson Valley in New York State. I graduated from Mount Saint Mary College in 2014 with my Bachelor of Arts in English, as well as earning my teaching certificates for General Education Grades 1-6, and Special Education Grades 1-6. I then moved down to Fayetteville, North Carolina, soon after graduating from college, and transferred my NYS teaching certificates to North Carolina. I have been living and teaching down here since then.

- This is my thirteenth year teaching, and I love it. This is my third year teaching AIG, but before that, I taught a variety of grade levels, including second grade, fourth grade, and fifth grade. When I taught 4th and 5th Grades, I was the Cluster teacher for the gifted students, and I fell in love with gifted education. I then decided to go back for my gifted education teaching license and I am a graduate student at East Carolina University for a Masters in Elementary Education with a focus in Academically and Intellectually Gifted, with a Certificate focusing on Equity and Advocacy for Gifted Students. I like to consider myself a lifelong learner, always looking forward to acquiring new knowledge and skills - especially ones that I can use in the future for my career. I am married and have one child, a seven-year-old daughter.
-
- I am committed to providing every student with a rigorous, personalized curriculum that challenges them to evolve as lifelong learners. By integrating real-world applications and modern technology, I create an engaging environment where academic growth is fueled by authentic connection. I value the unique cultural backgrounds and diverse experiences my students bring to the classroom, as these insights allow me to build the meaningful relationships necessary to cultivate the next generation of leaders.
